My name is Karel Zídek and I live in Brno in the Czech Republic.
As a developer, I work as a Software Engineer in the Aerospace industry with focus on Avionics Displays. Outside of work I focus on C++, OpenGL, graphical applications and Godot game engine.
As a student, I finished my studies of Automation Control and Informatics with a specialization in Graphics and its applications at Mendel University in Brno with a master of science in engineering degree. Subsequently, I worked at Mendel University at the Department of Informatics as a member of the Spatial Hub and Infrastructure teams.

As an artist, I create mostly illustrations and concept art. Although I’m creating mostly digitally, using tools like Clip Studio Paint EX and Affinity Photo, my favorite tools are fountain pens. With their help, I fill sketchbooks, that I have always on hand.
As a designer, I focus mainly on User Interface Design but I also design various promotional materials. I work with modern tools such as Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing the guitar.
