This application is designed to improve an experience with Wacom tablets. Sometimes you have to press your pen with unnecessary force to get maximum opacity. It is possible to modify pen response through tablet configuration, but the available options are limited and maximum required force is unchanged. This application allows you to modify all three control points of the tablet sensitivity curve and subsequently achieve custom and improved pen sensitivity.
The application requires elevated privileges.

Thank you a lot for this, fixed a problem i had for yers with my wacom.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! For years I have been fighting with a too sensitive pen action, to the point where I felt that it already inked before the nib even touched the digitizer of my Levovo Thinkpad Yoga X1 and Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga before that. This resulted in little hooks at the ends of many strokes.
Thanks a lot man, i had rly bad problems with ProPen 2 cuz you had to press really hard to reach maximum pressure.
Still to make this work i had to make these steps:
1. Stop Wacom services.
2. Make changes in Pressure Curve Tool ( Basicly minimum and maximum Values) to Wacom_Tablet.dat in Roaming Folder.
3. Start Wacom Service.
4. You can edit mid (sensitivity) point in wacom tablet properties, just dont touch max/min handles or they reset on they initial settings.
5. Enjoy 😀
Hello. Help please. The problem is that changing the settings through the Wacom program – the sensitivity is either very strong or very weak. I tried changed the settings directly through the file Wacom_Tablet.dat and through program Tablet Pressure Curve Tool, but there were no changes. As if something is interfering. What can be wrong ?
Would you consider making this app (or similar app as this), but that would work for the surface pro tablets (and windows ink)? It seems the Surface Pro is appropriately popular options, and Surface App seems to be able to modify pressure curve in very basic manner. Maybe there’s something similar that can be done for it and help artists out there using tablets like that.
When I click on “apply change” an error window pops up saying the following: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.
What do I do?
Sorry for the problem, I will look into it. It is possible to edit file, save changes (icon at the top) and restart wacom service manually (or reboot your system). The automatic service restart is only a shortcut, how to force Wacom driver to reload and use changed settings.
OMG thank you so much!!!
I was so disappointed with pro pen.
You helped adjusting setting to a comfortable level!
Thank you!!!
Fantastic, thanks a million! This functionality should be included in Wacom drivers. Got a Lenovo miix with active pen that required much too much pressure. Now it is healed thanks to your program 🎅
Hi Karel. Is there a minimum driver version required for your tool? I ask as it doesnt seem to work for me. I use quite an old driver version, merely because I have encountered problems when updating in the past and this version has served me well in the past. I recently aquired an intuos 3 which led me to your tool as i found the max pressure required is a lot higher than my old gen 1 intuos. Anyway, to get to the point, I am using driver 6.2.0 W5
Hi, there was a major change in the structure of configuration file years ago (from plaintext to XML). The support for the old file type is cut from version 2.x and above. You can try to use version 1.6.9.5. (version history is located below download links) – it should be able at least edit the old file type.
Curve tweak tool not work for me. I can’t drag the cross-point in the graph, the cursor hand point moved but the graph shape didn’t change
However there is a file name ISD_Tablet. dat in my device.
Hi, I’m sorry for the problems with this application. It would be helpful for me, to find out where is the problem, to send me some additional information. This information includes tablet name, configuration file, a location of the file within your profile, windows version and screenshot of the application. I could use this information to find and fix the problem.
Is there a Windows 10 version?
The standard version should work under Windows 10. If you have any problems with the tool, feel free to send me a feedback.
How i uninstall? please reply
Hi,
you can uninstall the tool by simply removing the executable of the application. The tool does not modify anything in the system, except for the Wacom configuration file. In the same folder, where the executable is located, you can also delete the folder with name Backup (there are stored backups of your config. file) and an ini file which keeps settings of the tool. And that’s it…
In case you need to “reset” Wacom configuration to default settings it is possible to use one of the backups that application does, or you can delete Wacom config. file (after reboot is recreated default one), or use Wacom utility shipped with a driver to reset driver to default settings.
What are this two horizontal sliders, green and blue one, upper and lower treashold ment to do ? What are they used for ?
Hi, these sliders allow adjusting pressure thresholds – one (lower) threshold adjusts minimum pen input sensitivity (all values reported by pen below this value are cut and represented as zero), the second one (upper) defines minimum pressure for “click” recognition. These values are by default set automatically by moving the first point of the curve.
Please tell me where are way yo use this on other brand tablets?
I’m sorry, but this tool is Wacom only. It modifies Wacom-specific driver configuration file.
Hi! I’m getting this error message: “wacom_tablet.dat preference file does not contain necessary values. Try to run Wacom Tablet Properties first”. But they’re open and the tool still can’t find the tablet 🙁 (Win 7 64bit, Intuos4)
Hi, sorry for the trouble. This tool helps to modify certain values that are stored within Wacom configuration file. When these values are not present the tool is unable to “modify” them. It is recommended to change settings (pressure) with the Wacom tool (set to some non-default value) and reboot the computer (for sure). This should generate a configuration file with valid and editable values. If not, it could be because of incompatible driver version (older or newer).
Hi Karel, no worries! You can’t foresee everything! So, that didn’t work, but then I downloaded a current driver and that did the trick ^^
Wow! Works like a charm! Many thanks, indeed!
goodlord! ty
Recognised as a virus by Panda Antivirus
Hi, sorry for that, it must be a false-positive. You can try to update your antivirus database, or you can check the file yourself with multi-antivirus service like https://www.virustotal.com.
Here are results for Tablet tool x64 and x32 – 2.5.1 version. The results are clean:

I don’t know why but it doesn’t work for me, I using wacom CTL 480, when I apply change its say success but actually doesn’t change anything. I checked in appdata Wtablet folder to make sure and I’m sure its doesn’t change anything…
Can u check this out? I really need this to work, thanks!
Hi, thanks for your comment. I’m not sure what went wrong, sorry for that. It could be helpful to send me some more information. Namely, your Wacom configuration file and information about your configuration (path to the file, OS version, and version of Wacom driver). This information could be helpful for me to determine the problem you’re experiencing.
Hi, here my Wtablet folder https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2bKXdOw9y79dWhJcEZQcjJrNXc , it’s in AppData\Roaming\WTablet
I’m using Windows 10 anniversary, wacom ituos driver 6.3.18-3.
Thank you for the information. I take a look what could be the problem.
Lovely tool ! Will you make some kind of window to test how the pen works in the future ? or is it impossible ?
Thanks for using the tool. Sorry to disappoint you, but this feature is not planned at this moment.
does this work on win10?
Yes
where is 32-bit ? bot of this 64-bit
thank you
Thank you for reporting this error. The link should be fixed now.
I’m on a mac. It keeps saying it can’t find necessary values in the preference file and to run Wacom tablet properties first . I am on Yosemite. How do I get it to work?
Well, Tablet tool for OS X is just an experimental build. It is possible to modify compatible configuration files, but the values are applied after reboot. In your case there is probably a generic Wacom settings file — without necessary values, or a location of these files is on you system is different. I’m sorry but this tool is developed primarily for Windows.
Hi, you can find the ‘Preference File’ in Library>Preferences (or Preference Panes)>com.wacom.pentablet.prefs
Make sure to make a copy/backup of it before you play with the curves.
I suggest copying one on your Desktop as a backup (do not touch this copy at all), and copying another to your Documents folder. Open the .prefs from Documents and save all your changes there. To finalise your tweaks, copy the Documents .prefs into your Library. If anything goes wrong, just use the backup .prefs you left on your Desktop.
Cheers
